The summer pump bill, explained
A pool pump is one of the biggest steady loads in a Houston house during the hot months.
Running it on panels in daylight takes that load off the meter.
Houston edition
Houston pools switch to sun power
Long Houston summers mean long pump hours, and a SunRay hybrid covers them 100% on solar while the sun is up.
Complete kits from $1,999
Grid not required
No AC is needed for the solar to work, because the kit's own panels drive the pump.
By the numbers
Reported savings run save $100-$250 a month.
